Anti Counterfeiting Trade Agrement

ACTA, in contrast to the way it is presented, is not only about the protection of intellectual property. It aims also clearly the production of generic drugs, the use of seeds ... With ACTA, Novartis could win his case against India and deny access to healthcare for the poor, drugs for AIDS patients in Africa may be blocked.
ACTA has established itself as an international treaty, prepared in great secrecy. It was signed on January 26 in Tokyo in the utmost discretion by the following countries: UK, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden, joining Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States, who signed the agreement in October 2011.
To be finally ratified it must still be voted by the European Parliament.

Regarding the Internet, ACTA will make ISPs responsible about  what their customers do, thus transform these ISP into cyber-cops who'll watch all our exchanges on the Internet. In the same way, customs officers will be allowed to verify our MP3 players, our phones ...
Not to mention sites like Youtube which are used by everyone and which are condemned to disappear.
 

ACTA, contrairement à la façon dont il est présenté, ne concerne pas que la protection de la propriété intellectuelle. Il vise aussi clairement la fabrication de médicaments génériques, l'utilisation de semences... Avec ACTA Novartis pourrait gagner son procès contre l'Inde et interdire l'accès aux soins des plus pauvres, les médicaments à destination des malades du sida en Afrique pourrait être bloqués.
ACTA s'impose comme un Traité International, préparé dans le plus grand secret. Il a été signé le 26 janvier à Tokyo dans la plus grande discrétion par les pays suivants: Royaume-Uni, Autriche, Belgique, Bulgarie, République tchèque, Danemark, Finlande, France, Grèce, Hongrie, Irlande, Italie, Lettonie, Lituanie, Luxembourg, Malte, Pologne, Portugal, Roumanie, Slovénie, Espagne et Suède qui ont rejoint l'Australie, le Canada, le Japon, la Corée du Sud, le Maroc, la Nouvelle-Zélande, Singapour et les États-Unis, qui ont signé l’accord en Octobre 2011.
Pour être définitivement ratifié il doit encore être voté par le Parlement Européen.

Concernant Internet, ACTA va rendre les FAI  responsables de ce que font leurs clients, donc transformer ces FAI en cyber-flics qui surveilleront tous nos échanges sur Internet. De même les douaniers pourront vérifier nos lecteurs MP3, nos téléphones...
Sans parler des sites comme Youtube que tout le monde utilise et qui sont condamnés à disparaître.
